Chougan Village sits at 4500 feet above sea level and is the first stop for tourists heading to paragliding at Bir Billing. At Chougan Chowk, the road splits—one goes 16 km to the paragliding takeoff point, and another is just 1.5 km to the landing site. Around the chowk, there are a few guest houses, a wine shop, and some snack shops. If you turn left, you’ll reach the Tibetan colony market area with monasteries like Tsering Jong, cafes, handicraft shops, and a Volvo bus stand, stretching 1.5 km. Due to the limited and congested roads, it is recommended to walk there.

Ghodnala Village at 5500 feet above sea level:

With highways connecting at Chamba Road, Ghodnala Village is 4.5 kilometers from the landing site Bir and 4 kilometers from Bir Chowk. It offers Machaan Cottages, Glass House Cottage, Family Cottage, and Machaan Tents. The sunset point has great views, and it’s 5 degrees cooler than Bir in summer. Trek from the forest guest house through Bari and Donadi villages to the sunset point.

Keyori Village is at 4800 feet above sea level and starts right after crossing Bir stream, close to the paragliding landing site. It’s a busy village with narrow roads, a few guest houses, and pine forests in the background. There are also some tea gardens that add to its charm. It’s a good spot to rest after enjoying paragliding at Bir Billing. The pine forests make it pretty, but the village itself feels crowded because of the tight roads.

RajGundha Village is at 8300 feet above sea level, the farthest village in Bir Billing valley, 12 km from Billing and 26 km from Bir. It gets heavy snow in winter, closing the road, and trekking is risky then. Visit from mid-March to mid-July or October to mid-December for paragliding. It’s stunning, with Himalayan ranges, Devdara and Tosh forests, and the Uhl river nearby. The trek is popular but needs a guide—don’t go alone.

Bhattu Village:
